In most cases, you don’t need to touch your APN settings — we handle it for you. But here’s everything you need to know just in case.
🤔 What is an APN?
APN stands for Access Point Name. It’s the setting that tells your phone how to connect to the internet using mobile data.
Without the correct APN, your device might connect to the network but not actually access the internet — which is less than ideal.
✅ What’s the eSIM Copilot APN?
For all standard eSIM Copilot plans, the APN is:
globaldata
This should be set automatically when you install your eSIM. No action needed in most cases.
🛠️ How to check or change the APN on iOS
- Open Settings
- Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular)
- If you have more than 1 SIM or eSIM, select the SIM or eSIM you want to edit
- Tap Mobile Data Network
- Under APN, make sure it says:
globaldata
- If it doesn’t, tap the field and enter it manually
Some iPhones (especially if they're carrier-locked) may not allow manual editing — if that's the case and your data isn’t working, just email us and we’ll help you out.
In short: the APN is what connects your eSIM to the internet. We set it for you, but it’s always good to know where to find it if needed.
